Here are some friendly reminders of things that should be on your radar 7 days out from your closing:
TRANSFER THE UTILITIES - Call the utilities below and do a change service (into or out of your name) on the date of your closing.
Electric – NV Energy – 702-402-5555 – Press 2, then 1, enter street number of the house, enter last 4 of your SS#, then 3, then say "Transfer Service".
Gas – Southwest Gas – 877-860-6020 – Press 1, then 3, then 2. *They will need your SS # and your DOB*
Water – Las Vegas Valley Water – 702-870-2011 - Press 1, then follow prompts.
Water - North Las Vegas Water - 702-633-1275
Henderson Water - 702-267-5900
Trash – Republic Services – 702-735-5151 – Press 1, then 4 to start/stop/transfer service, then follow remaining prompts.
CHANGE OF ADDRESS - Do a Change of Address Form with the US Post Office.

HOMEOWNERS INSURANCE - Call your insurance agent and get a policy in place effective on the date of your closing OR Remove the old policy on the close date if you sold.
